THE CONVERSATION
TELL US WHAT YOU HAVE IN MIND.
You don't need to know anything about lasts, leathers or shoemaking.
Maybe you already know exactly what you want. Maybe you only have a photograph, an old pair of shoes, a colour, a shape — or simply an idea.
That's enough to start.
Tell us what you're looking for and we'll help turn it into something we can actually make: refining the design, suggesting the right materials and finding the best solution for your feet.
You bring the idea. We guide the process.
MADE TO MEASURE
FROM IDEA
TO YOUR PAIR.
Made to Measure may sound complicated. It isn't. We take care of the technical part and guide you through the process from the first conversation to the finished shoes.
CONVERSATION
Tell us what you have in mind. A clear idea, a photograph, an old pair of shoes or simply a starting point.
DESIGN
Together we refine the shape, materials, colours and details until the design feels right.
MEASUREMENTS
We send you everything you need to record your feet at home and guide you through the process.
LAST & PATTERN
Your measurements are translated into the last and patterns that will define the shape and fit of your shoes.
MAKING
Then the workshop takes over: cutting, stitching, lasting, welting, finishing and checking your pair before it leaves us.
You don't have to figure it out alone.
We stay with you through every stage.
MEASUREMENTS
YOUR FEET.
NOT A SIZE.
Made to Measure starts with the feet you actually have, not with the standard size that happens to come closest.
You don't need to visit our workshop.
We send you a simple measurement kit that allows us to collect the information we need from your feet at home.
We guide you through the process and review the results before anything goes into production. If something doesn't look right, we ask — we don't simply guess.
Length matters. Width matters. Shape matters. And two feet carrying the same shoe size are not necessarily the same.
The goal is not to force your feet into a predetermined size, but to gather the information needed to create a shoe around their proportions.
Those measurements are only the beginning.
Next, we translate them into the last and pattern from which your pair will be made.
LAST & PATTERN
WHERE YOUR
MEASUREMENTS
BECOME SHAPE.
Measurements tell us about your feet. The last and pattern turn that information into the shape of your shoes.
This is where numbers begin to become a shoe.
We start with the most appropriate base last for your feet and for the character of the design we have created together. Its dimensions and proportions can then be adjusted using the information collected during the measurement process.
Two people may wear the same nominal size and still have very different widths, insteps, heels, volumes and proportions. The aim is not simply to make a standard shoe longer or wider, but to create a shape that makes sense for your feet.
Once the last is defined, the pattern of the upper is adapted around it, preserving the lines, proportions and character of the shoe we designed together.
THE LAST
Defines the volume and three-dimensional shape.
THE PATTERN
Makes the design work around that shape.
Fit and design are now part of the same project.
The technical groundwork is done. We can start making your shoes.
THE WORKSHOP
NOW
WE MAKE IT.
The decisions are made. The measurements are understood. The last and pattern are ready.
From this point, the project moves into the workshop. Leather is cut, the upper is prepared and the shoe begins to take physical form around the last created for your pair.
This is the part where design, fit, materials and craftsmanship finally meet.
What began as a conversation is now becoming your shoes.
